Respected economists Rod Campbell from The Australia Institute, and Tim Buckley from the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis, will present their analysis of the economics of Hume Coal’s plans for an export coal mine in the Southern Highlands of NSW at a public forum at 6.30pm on Thursday 11 August at the Moss Vale RSL.

We know that Hume Coal’s promise that our precious groundwater will not be sacrificed by their planned mine is simply not true. But what about their promise of local jobs ? Come along to this public forum and hear what two¬†independent experts think about the economics of the mine and the future of coal.
