As a committed supporter of our village’s volunteer Rural Fire Service, the Berrima Residents Association has donated $1,000 to the local Brigade to assist them in keeping our village, and local district, safe from the ravages of fire. The funds were raised at the Associations annual Bric-a-Brac sale in the Berrima Church Hall on Australia Day. Thank you to everyone who supported the sale on that Day.
The volunteers are our “local heroes” and need all the help the community can provide.
A few years ago the Brigade was threatened with closure when the number of volunteers fell to a low level. If you would like to help the Brigade continue to service our area please consider volunteering; tasks include both front end fire-fighting as well back office duties. Please give Brigade Captain, Brett Plain, a call on 0407 869 209 and find out how you can assist. Donations are also most welcome.
